Thank you so much Dina, this was a bonus spring blizzard which brought a good dump of fresh powder to the mountains. Hope all well for you in the Rhine Valley even if you are missing the peaks of winter!
Thank you so much Rabirius, the silver greys of mountain light always feel B&W to me except of course for the obvious punches of colour. Always love your fantastic colour treatments!
It’s been years since I’ve been to Colorado, Patti, and you sure make me want to get back.
My niece and her boyfriend moved to Co just last week and drove the last day in the snow 🙂
Hope you enjoyed your slow, western break.
We might have been travelling at the same time – we hit snow on the I-70 and made it through before the worst of it closed the tunnels, or so I heard on the grapevine. It was a great storm. Hope your niece and bf settle in and enjoy Colorado, now you’ll just have to get on that bike of yours and head out to visit and enjoy those mountains!
Thank you for doing more landscapes recently. You captured all these grayish shades in the sky and on the ground- Just the way I like it. Beautiful, Patti!
My pleasure Paula and so pleased you enjoy the view – trying to make the most of wherever I happen to be. Have you ever been tempted to take people shots?
Knowing it’s not your favourite thing I meant to ask if you were tempted take “more” people shots, and how do you cope in city areas like London etc where people never stop coming in and out of frames? I’ll never forget trying to get a shot of the cityscape on Brooklyn Bridge years ago. It was impossible what with so many people doing the same etc etc
It’s frustrating. Every time when I am in a touristy place I can’t either take a decent shot of monuments or people. Very often I find myself wandering back alleys with no apparent attractions for peace and quiet and a possibility of a “not messed-up” shot 🙂
Looks cold, Patti! I like the sign. Think I’ll make one for my studio.
Look forward to seeing your sign, thank you Pierr.
Oh Pattie -the foreground here makes it feel like a journey is about to unfold – and brrrrrrr
Thank you Prior, the adventure was all downhill!
😉
Brrrr, but so exciting. Great atmosphere, Patti
Brrr but worth it, thank you Gerard!
How different your environment is from mine today. Can’t wait to get back to the mountains when I’ve completed my circumnavigation. Beautiful
Yes but how exciting are your adventures Lisa, I’m in absolute awe!!!
Absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you so much!
Oh! These are stunning!
So lovely to hear Ashley, thank you so much!
Great shots Patti….!!!
You are very kind, thank you Burgess!
Beautiful scenery and gorgeous snowscapes, Patti. Spring has arrived in the Rhine Valley, I’d change with you right away. 😉

How peaceful. I can feel the cold air hitting my nostrils…
So peaceful, maybe we’ll get you up there one day Zita xxx
Slow, but beautiful. Hope things warm up for you, though. Isn’t it Spring?
Thank you Lignum for your kind thoughts and yes, it is spring but that wild mountain weather is always good for a surprise!
Beautiful!
This, already gone winter we had not so much snow in the Alps…
robert
Hoping you get better snow next winter Robert!

I love the slight blue tinge to these photos. But looking at them makes me shiver. 🙂
Now you’re making me shiver all over again!
I wish where here, enjoying the sacred silence that envelops those mountains.
Wishing you peace dear Marcelo.
Wow 💚
With the snowboarder I am looking at mountain after mountain after mountain. That picture tells a wordless story. Impressive!
They are an impressive set of mountains, thank you Annie!
you are slow? that’s ok, everyone’s talking about “slow living” lifestyle these days 😀
fantastic shots… hope you had great time!! 🙂
A great time thank you Alexandra and it was a good slow feeling, in that time stopping way . . .
