Yep, that is one anti-comfort photo but for a great cause I hope. Either way, this photo brings out an impact that moves the viewer. Makes us think and engaged with the event. Great post my friend. A blessed day to you.
The peace and calm, not to mention the energy, of the protest was/is overwhelming. I am not sure how much change will result from such a protest but the drums are beating and they are out there on the street. But everyone down there loves their country!
Occupying Wall Street is good for the soul – sadly, like voting, it won’t change the system. If it could, they’d make it illegal 😉 Love the skateboard tucked away in front of the armchair and nice to see that the comfort wasn’t broken up with some baton charges 🙂
Martin, you are so right about the voting but best not to get me started on that one . . . will do another post on the protest (when I get around to it) but for every protester there were at least two photographers and some of the most amazing retro kit being put to use. As for the police, they were as comfortable as the protesters. New Yorkers are largely a very kind lot and that was very much in evidence. As ever, we live in hope!
Hope is a good thing 🙂 I generally get on ok with the Police – you’ll find we had a ‘March for the Alternative‘ back in, of all months, March! It was our equivalent of the occupy Wall Street and I believe there will be more demonstrations along these lines.
Martin, getting a little more active down there what with riot police but still no Bono or Obama! You might enjoy exploring this latest link http://occupywallst.org/oct15/
I love this… so crazy, so comfy.
Thank you! It was one big zone of zen!

Great photo.
Thank you so much, it was a great day!
very apt…your subjects seem to be in their element of comfort.
All happy campers down there!
That guy looks so comfortable!!!
nicely captured..
Definitely the best seat in the park, and to look so cool sitting there . . . thanks so much!
my thoughts exactly…he is just so cool and laid back… 🙂
And he is one of many! Thank you so much for visiting!
Well caught, I love street photography!
Thanks Gilly, you would have loved it!

As for the Routemaster, so sad . . . .
What a great capture! If you’re going to protest, you might as well be comfortable.
Thanks Theresa. There was so much comfort and goodwill down there it was hard to leave!
wow…
Thank you Yi-Ching!
Great shot!
Yet another good reason to book that ticket and come to NY!
So different from some of the riots/protests we have had recently. If you are going to do something do it in comfort…I love it.
Thank you Mike! It is so peaceful, calm etc but the energy there is incredible!

I’ve set a link to you on twitter:
Popping over now, thank you!
It looks amazing! It’s almost like a festival, but with a very serious intent.
Pie, there is so much energy down there but I can’t begin to stress how calm it all is, given the circumstances.
this is really comfortable!
I suspect he had the best seat in the house!
I still like how you captured the lazy sofa mood …
Life is good and we can make it as good wherever, whenever . . . we hope!
