Nice to see a Nylon Daze post, Patti! Re black & white in colour – what about in black and white? For the two sets of stripes…
The first shot has that refreshing Manhattan street chaos that I miss sometimes (not always). In Seattle it’d be rare to see that much going on in the middle of the street, everyone is so law-abiding. Fun to see the girls smoking for a similar reason.
The fashion plate – I love that shot – maybe “Stepping Out with Necklace and Stick?!! I like “Deep Shade” very much. Also the corner shades girls. That light is challenging to deal with photographically – but I believe you just took it in stride.
So great to hear your thoughts Lyn, thank you! Funny what you say about the streets of NY in comparison to those in Seattle, amazing what you get used to isn’t it. Where do people in Seattle hang out?
The B&W will be posted in B&W, you’re a mind reader! And yes the light was definitely a challenge but I thought it was fun how it cut the footpath so neatly into light and dark plus I was going that way anyhow. Next time you get back to NY let’s go walking!
What a beautiful day this was to do some street shooting Patti 😀 I’m loving the deep shadows and rich colors in all of these images. I’m really glad to see you posting on Nylon Daze again. We miss you here at Monochromia and hope you share some of your images with us soon. I’m wishing I was in NYC with you on this beautiful day.
You are so kind and thank you Joe for your kind words here – slowly coming out of the daze and very much looking forward to catching up with you. I have some more places on the IPA list!
Lovely! I also really like the stripes appearing on the street and the gentleman’s shirt on this one pic!
Summer is here! Wonderful as always, Patti!
It has taken a little time getting here, thank you so much Richard and hope you’re enjoying some pleasant sunshine!
Great job ! Summer is coming …
So kind, thank you Carlos!
Excellent!
Thank you so much Rabirius!
Oo feelin’ that sunshine, Patti. Beautiful shots! It’s only in the mid-fifties here…

Great to here Cath, thank you!
New York is an excellent place to capture this kind of photography.
Indeed, thank you!
So good, Patti. Love your theme- the darks and lights are full of interesting elements. Your titles are great, too..ie: “Pop goes the blonde” 🙂
Thank you so much Jane, I often find titles a bit of a struggle . . . . 🙁
I know what you mean, however, you manage to come up with some very clever ones. 🙂
Lovely photos, Patti! Hope to see more soon.
So kind of you to say, thank you Fabrizio!
