Of all the shots I have taken at the new Whitney, this is the one that best describes how I feel about the place – the void of the unexpected and a thrilling sense of excitement. I know how much you enjoyed your visit there!
Thank you Lyn for your company here and hope you are enjoying a decent week.
Love it, Patti! The picture, yes, but also completely understanding the camera setting error, in fact posted one of FB just yesterday 🙂
I’m so glad to know it’s not just me.
Very cool – I’m fascinated by the little details in the doorway – straining to make them out. It’s funny isn’t it, because if I could see them clearly I probably wouldn’t give them that much time.
The doorway is actually a window with a view over the Hudson, and the Westside Highway but we can ignore that for now, while the small details are part of a mounted display in front of the window. It’s a spectacular space and definitely worth a visit.
Love it! Lemons into lemonade…I like the effect.
Turns out it was one big juicy lemon, thank you Jane!
Yes!!!! A fantastic work of accidental art;)
Patti !!!
Aren’t you sweet, thank you Kathy!
Well… If u say so 😂👍🏻
I say so! 🙂
One’s best work done while hardly knowing how or why it was done. The essence of creativity. Well done, Patti. Loved it.
Kind words indeed, thank you Gerard!

Great impact. Calm and strong at the same time.

Wonderful! Aren’t mistakes the best sometimes? Into the void….
(Have a great weekend!)

I really quite like this, Patti!! Surreal and evocative – a winning combination for me!!
Thank you Stacy, it wasn’t meant to be but . . .. . so pleased you like it!
Don’t you love it when a “mistake” turns out to be fabulous? 😉
Thank you so much Julie, I suspect that with the right settings I would have happily deleted it!
Entering into the luminous realm of art to is to try to dispel de mist of mediocrity that surrounds us.
We can but try and so happy to report the success of the new Whitney in achieving entrance into such a realm.
Absence and Presence all in One! Too Cool!
Love what you say, thank you Annie!
actually that looks cool 🙂
Thank you Joshi!
Great accident! Compliments the space of the gallery.
Thank you so much James! It took me a long time to get to the new Whitney but no time once there to fall in love with it.
You are very welcome Patti and did you go to see the Danny Lyon exhibition. I have just been reading about it . Wow!
I’m so looking forward to catching the Danny Lyon exhibition in the next few days, it looks so good doesn’t it!
Something different – but great as well.
I like how the photo dissolves in whites.
Thank you Rabirius, it really is an impressive place and space overall.
Sometimes mistakes are not mistakes, just happy accidents.
All good fun, thank you David!
nice to step into white – in the UK of BREXIT state of mind it seems to be some steps into the dark:
Where to start on the mess that this is . . . . . thank you so much Frizz and lovely to hear from you!
