Awesome image Patti 🙂 It looks like he is returning from the grocery store with some bread and milk. Did you ever wonder what everybody does with all that bread and milk in a snowstorm, LOL ?
I can hear the muted footsteps of those souls braving the weather in this shot. It also makes me wonder ‘Why would you venture out in this?’ Not you Patti – I know why the photographer goes out in the snow. It’s the other people I don’t understand! Nice shot 🙂
We had two days in the rows of snowing here in Minneapolis, it was too much wind to enjoy the outdoor 🙂 Gosh, you were very brave and the image is superb!
Hadn’t seen that one. Makes me glad we don’t have that much snow here (none actually) It would be a bit like living permanently in Chamonix or les deux-alpes. I wouldn’t dare drive. But then walk? With rackets? 😉
Ooof! That storm just missed us!
Very impactful shot.
looks and feels heavy…very heavy walk…enjoy!
Seems the plows show up if you live in Manhattan!
How cold!!!
There is nothing like a blizzard in New York and this captures it perfectly!
This really gets the mood across. Beautiful.
that is a winter time …strong photo!

Hi, Patti, I’ve closed my wordpress blog but I am still happy that I still can follow your extraordinary photo blog with constant new uploads – as I have my daily new uploads as a guitarist on SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fingerstyle_guitar/go-to-sleep-little-baby-feat-kelly-pullen
Bleak!
Superb!
So nice to see someone walking carrying a shopping bag. The streets without cars, so peaceful. There is a lot to like about snow-bound New York City.

Ever hear Pete Seeger’s Snow,Snow Falling Down? Very nice photo.
Hard weather for street photographers !! Great image.
So brilliant! We seem to have skipped Winter over here…
…all that snow is really nothing for me…
…but it makes for beautiful photos, as you demonstrate here.
Oh my…you were just hammered with snow. We got lucky in Toronto…storm missed us.
You know how much I love this shot, Patti! You’re fearless in pursuit of outstanding photos such as this one!
Hi Patti- I love the way you’ve framed the figure. The lines and patterns all come together beautifully in your image.
I love the way the contrast recedes here. You’ve become the South Bronx maven!
Well…you have managed to do it again…. Burrrrr, going to put a sweater on now;) lol, great shot Patti
Just put one foot in front of the other, thankfully he (or she) has tire tracks to walk in!
Outstanding! Hope he didn’t have too far to go…..
Great capture, you brave one! I like the curvy leading lines. Fabulously muted and composed, Patti 🙂
An amazing scene.

How brave you were. Great shot!
This is so good, Patti. Someday I want to be in NYC during a blizzard, must be fun!
