Neon is the only classic jewelry to decorate the features of a city. It’s that unique mixture of coldness and warm light that perfectly sums up the spirit of a true metropolis. As a confirmed night owl, I especially like this example.
Great shot Patti 🙂 Neon signs are so interesting to photograph and I wish there were more out here on the Island. I’m sure there is an abundance of them in NYC.
Very different from most of your photos – but good. If you take a closer look behind the billboard, there are a lot of interesting details to discover.
Absolutely no apology necessary James, always lovely to hear from you – anytime. And always a great pleasure enjoying your fabulous scenes! Wishing you so much of the best for the season and a rewarding New Year.
Now there’s some clear advertising! Your reflections crystallize it. Great shot!
Hahaha, thank you Pierr!
Love that the neon leads me inside. Well done, Patti.
Taking the cue!
Yes ❤ it!
Thank you Pat! 👍🏻
Nice composition Patti – definitely the thirds rule with the player 🙂
Long live the thirds, thank you Martin!

There’s a new year challenge for you Joe – hunting down neon on the island!
Well spotted!
Thank you Herbert!
I have noted the address, we will shot there ! :-))
We are going to be busy!
(and that’s a good thing 😀)
Fabulous!
Thank you so much Zita xx
Really good shot; the reflection takes me inside and there is just enough from the inside, to know what’s going on there. Top.
Thank you Harrie – I know we know what goes on in there but it always seems like a mystery to me!
Lovely shot. I got totally snookered by it.
You win! 🏆
absolutely beautiful shot, Patti! Really well judged.
A lucky break, thank you Richard!
Good old fashioned neon.
Don’t you just love it!
I know that place! I used to live at 11th and Broadway!
Lucky you – the centre of the universe!

What a great angle!
Thank you Elena!
Love the neon. Love NY! Thank you
Where would a city be without a good dose of neon. Thank you so much!
Lucky that you were there at that moment, but it takes more than luck to set up the shot and get it right!
Thank you so much Lyn!
Did you see the black potted 😉 Splendid shot Patti !
I think neon is one of the hardest lights to photograph. They always seem blurry to me. But not yours. Just perfect!
cool with the reflection 🙂
