A quick snatch of shots from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
Freezing cold, plenty of snow, slow slow internet but so
much time for wandering.
Wonderful place, Patti!
Thank you so much Harrie.
Oh Patti, these are truly beautiful, and such a departure from your city snaps. Bet you enjoyed the open spaces. Happiest of holidays to you my friend.
Yes Margie, so different but so much fun to explore. Thank you so much for kind thoughts and all best wishes to you!
Oh my – looks very cold! One thing about being a Canadian – we know that a photo that makes you feel cold means it probably was cold!
Winter – here in Canada we joke that we have six months of winter, and six months of poor sledding. Our calendar reads; Winter, June, July, August, Winter.
Six months of poor sledding says it all, must be time for you to be heading south by now!
We actually just returned to Canada today from the south. We did the snowbird thing in November, but returned to Canada for the holiday season!
But good photos.
Nippy to say the least, thank you Rabirius!
Thank you EF 🙂
Beautiful pictures, so Christmas. Did you pitch your tent there?
Christmas? Christmas? Still way too early for me to thinking that far ahead. Talking about tents, there were some pitched on the ice on a smaller, frozen lake for fishing. Looks great fun. Thank you Gerard!
A beautiful place and wonderful images!
Thank you Malin and so pleased you enjoyed the views!
Sounds like a great way to slooow down. Beautiful set, Patti.
For sure! Thank you so much Jane!
Beautiful images Patti 🙂 The air looks soooo crisp and clean there. I hope there is plenty of time for cocktails with this slow pace 🙂
Not cocktail country for me Joe, the high altitude goes straight to my head but a decent IPA can restore balance. Back at sea level now and very much looking forward to restorative cocktail. Cheers and thanks Joe!
Definitely cool work, Patti.
Can’t say more than that, thanks so much Allan 👍🏻
Thank you kindly Pierr 🙂
what a beautiful place. a winter wonderland. thanks for sharing.
My pleasure, thank you so much Kris!
Thank you Joshi! 🙂
Wonderful shots, Patti! Looks like a good place to get some thinking done.
And with all this room and space for lofty thinking someone will always bust in with the eternal question “what’s for dinner?”
Beautiful photos, I can feel the cold from here
You keep yourself warm, thank you Mike!
How can we life without New York, its buildings, people, speed, stress. Its beauty also….
Such a contrast . . .
Cold, but lovely scenery. Wish I was there. 🙂
Hope you get to visit one day Lignum, thank you!
Oh, what a wonderful series, Patti!!
Fantastic, thank you so much Anette!
what a magically blue in the first… …wonderful mood in your series. Hope you enjoyed it!
Thank you Markus and yes, it was a beautiful blue and so much fun enjoying the stillness . . .
Patti, these are gorgeous photos!! Where exactly were/are you?? Such amazing scenery and you’ve captured the essence of the great outdoors just beautifully. I can’t pick my favorite – I love them all!
I’m a huge Colorado fan myself and will actually be going out to Boulder in February to be with my mom on her 88th bday 🙂
Thanks for sharing your wanderings 😃
Hey Stacy, these are out on the off road by the I-70 at Dillon Dam, west of Denver. It’s such a beautiful road to take your time, pull over and enjoy the scenery. It’s getting icy out there and it was so great to see smoke on the water a few days later. Enjoy Boulder when you get there, happy family celebrations!!!
Gorgeous landscapes! It’s cool to try your hand at a different style of photography, I’ve been enjoying straying from street photography myself. Have a great day.
Thank you so much Mark but I feel such a fraud in the style stakes genre. It’s so good to get out and explore, maybe it’s cock-eyed of me but I just think of street photography as landscapes with people. And landscapes of scenes without people. Looking forward to seeing your latest strays!
Great way to see it, very true. Have a great evening.
What a contrast Patti to your city work….. Just as wonderful though…….Amazing scenery and wow what a place to unwind…..
You would love it there James!
MMMM!!!! Now there’s a thought….
I love your captures Patti…being outside is my favourite…love the blues…enjoy!
Always good to get that fresh air, thank you Hedy!
Glorious stillness Patti …hope you’ve enjoyed your wandering … with steaming hot chocolate to look forward once indoors from the snowy depths …
Thank you so much Poppy! Nowhere near as cold or dramatic as Iceland but wow, cold enough at times.
A nice serie. In the Netherlands there is no snow at this moment.
Hope you get some soon, thank you Ronald.
Nice to see some snow… we are having another summer day in NYC 😕
Crazy December weather here in NYC Pat . . . . 😦
Thank you so much Elena!
Absolutely breathtaking, even if cold.
Lovely. I’ll second Julie la vagabonde’s comment. 🙂
