Bright lights… City lights… So kool, there’s nothing where I live that even tempt me to be outdoors late at nite, I always get excited when we decide to go to Toronto, so much to see there day and nite. These are very kool, simple and kool!! Great job Patti
It’s so much fun knowing about your Dunkin’ Donuts “project.” Makes those photos resonate all the more 🙂 All great “night” shots of my favorite city, Patti!
Between light and darkness are your photos patti. I specially like the darkest, just my personal taste because of the mood like the third and the last two pictures. Brava!
robert
Beautiful colours Patti and reflections! especially “neon splash lights”
(I almost never shoot outside in daylight anymore!! Its the only good thing about the short and dark days of winter here in London!)
Hope to see more great NYC night time from you soon! 🙂
Nights, camera, action!
Looking forward to seeing more of your great night shots Peter, and of course your stunning portraits. Something so relaxing and soothing about shooting at night don’t you think?
And thank you so much for your kind words!
All captures in your series transfer a moody and peaceful atmosphere. My favorite is the last one. So interesting to see that on the right side more refections appear then you can see on the left side. Like in the reality and in memories. Clear and sober vs. blurred and transfigured.
Please know Susan these are two different DD locations in the neighbourhood. There is a third one but it was damaged in a fire not so long ago 😦
Are you still hoping to visit NY soon? Hope so 🙂
Patti, these are wonderful. I like what frizztext said above. Lots of brilliant captures here. The third one is gorgeous, and oh, the last one! Print it! Fantastic!
I am in the middle of a bad relationship with my printer, it’s not talking to me and refuses to acknowledge my existence. Apparently we have a breakdown in communication, we don’t talk enough. Talk about holding a grudge . . . Thank you Lyn for your kind words, one of the perks of city living is walking out the door any time of day or night and hey presto! Hope all well for you in your wonderful part of the world!
OK, over a month later, back again – life’s been busy. Maybe you’ve repaired your relationship with your printer by now – did you do a workshop? A weekend getaway? Or maybe just a detailed reading of the manual…
In any case, even if you all are communicating, that last one might be hard to print well. I never print but I need to. One of these days!
Always fascinating a city at night … always more questions than answers 😉 A little intrigue … and a story in each one waiting for our imagination to fill in the details .
Makes one want to head out for a donut and start clicking Patti !
Great shots and a reminder of warm summer nights which are now just a memory.
Thank you DW, I know what you mean but just when we thought it was all over the warm weather made another entrance.
Great night shots Patti and I especially love the reflection of your favorite place (Dunkin Donuts) in the car windows 🙂
This one was hard to ignore, given my predilection for the place . . . . Thank you Joe!
NYC beautifully captured!
Thank you so much Elena!
Love the light in this!
Thank you West, the city turns them on!

Great images Patti with always an eye for the moment.
All wonderful vignettes Patti. ‘Dunkin Donuts’ and ‘Street Light’ are particular standouts for me.
