Here’s to breaking the rules. I remember as a child starting to take pictures with my Brownie, my father telling me “never, ever take a picture facing the sun”. Some rules are meant to be broken.
(Another was: don’t cut feet)
🙂
have a nice week-end
What a lovely memory for you to have and how much fun to cut your teeth on the Brownie. I remember the rule from the other side of the camera, always squinting into the sun whenever we had our photos taken. Thank you and wishing you a good week ahead!
I still have the photos. Blurry. Even found and scanned forgotten negatives some time ago. Quality is appaling but it did capture nice moments paddling in the sea by our house with my brother and sister. 😉
Oh! This is a great shot.
Thank you so much Pierr!
A certain glow is the perfect title for this marvellous shot. Wonderful composition and amazing light.
The sun was on fire at the end of the street, you would have loved it Stefan! And thank you!
I love this image Patti 🙂
Wasn’t it a sight Joe, and what fabulous shot of yours – full metal sunset! Great fun out and about, thanks so much Joe!
Nice one woman
I thank you Kathy!
Beautiful sunlight! I want her shopping bag 🙂
Emily McDowell for the bag, and so much more! 🙂
great lights, Patti! It seems like she stopped the light beams with her left feet.
Now that you mention it, she has the power!
Beam-Stopper-Super-Girl !
Fantastic photo!
Thank you Angeline!
Fantastic shot!
Thank you Pamela!
Exciting shot, Patti. Hmm…what does her bag say? Love the light you’ve captured!
The light was full blaze, thank you Jane. The Groceries & Shit tote bag is available on Etsy. The ideal Christmas present!
Haha! Thanks for the shopping tip! 😃
Great composition!
Thank you Dina! 🙂

I really like it – the glow adds something a little mysterious.
Possible alien abduction!
It is magical! What a great capture – should be published in a magazine!
What a thought, thank you so much Indah! 🙂
Groceries & Shit . . . I guess she might be the last person to be purse-snatched from.

gorgeous light and cheerful mood cuz of her smile too 🙂 love the bag btw, I need one for groceries and sh*t too lol 🙂
Oh, gotta laugh with that perfectly turned out woman and her bag. That she’s smiling about photographing the sunset is icing!
Oh yeah. Setting sun :). My first impression was night shot with oncoming car in the background haha. Good shot!
A great capture! Love the light in the centre:) And very appropriate to keep it monochrome.
Aliens have landed in NYC?! 😉
Wonderful photo, Patti.
