Reaching the Peak
Making it near enough to the top, no problem! Getting down, against the hard biting wind which seemingly came out of nowhere? That's what we eventually call the fun part. From the top of the Peak 6 chairlift, just before they closed it down because of the bad weather . . . Breckenridge, Colorado Rocky Mountains.
what – you did not get enough snow in NYC ? :>) nice shots!!
Thank you Pat, not enough snow so had to go chase some more!
Did you take any photos of the way down? Haha.
I wish!
Wow! Hope you made it down ok! π
Thank you Emily and yes, so happy/relieved with the ok made it down!
Who would have thought?
The mysteries of life!
I dont understand Patti you just left snow in NY π It does look like you are having a great time. Hows the air up there, LOL.
No Joe, the snow left me! As for the air up there, it’s a heart pumper that’s for sure!
Different skiing than my kind, but great mountains, and great photos.
Definitely different but that’s gravity for you. Thank you Bente, where would we be without the endurance and exhilaration of getting through the snow . . . . ?
Patti you’ve obviously caught the “snow bug”! π
No cure for the snow bug!
Brrrrr!
The brrrrr of three layers instead of six, give or take!
Fantastic series!
The first one is my favourite – I love the atmosphere and the colors!
Just the inspiration one needs for getting up, and down – a good dose of red, white and blue!
Snow and blue sky, great emotions on the way! And if there is wind even more emotions!
robert
Yes Robert, you are so right about the emotions!
Wonderful shots – I’m really impressed you took your camera with you.
Thank you Richard but no big hero with taking a camera, the iPhone goes everywhere with me!
I feel like I have been there with you. The first one is my favourite!
So how battered are you feeling Zita? xx
Love the top shot. It reminds me of walking to the top of my favorite ski mountain in NZ before the season opens. A 60 minute walk for a five minute run, but so worth it.
It’s such a crazy sport isn’t it! Do you ski any of the east coast places?
Mrs. DW grew up skiing on the east coast.
I won’t go into wondering why you went to more snow, but will just say “Wow”. Those photos are stupendous.
That’s so funny, thank you Angeline!!
EEK! Gorgeous spot though.
Margie, you said it all!
Wow, stunning images, Patti!
A view from the top!
so beautiful π
Good Lord! I thought you were climbing Mount Everest! As far as I’m concerned, of course, you might as well have been. π
That’s way beyond my pay grade to go up there… especially the skiing down bit! π Nice shots in a different environment Patti π
Cool. π Hope you had a good break.
Excellent! I just got two snowboards, so next winter I’ll try them.
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! π fun!
Beautiful, beautiful work as always.
