The Corner
Snow falling now in the city where it feels strangely peaceful and calm ahead of the blizzard expected later in the day. Or is this the blizzard now? About to head out soon and explore but meanwhile here is a shot in the dark of a Soho night taken last winter.
Looks like you’re having some fun out there in the snow. Stay warm! Did you go in and try the breakfast?
Thank you Angeline, yes it was fun out there late at night so no, I didn’t try the breakfast. Another time!
timeless
Thank you so much Shimon!
A wonderful recording. The mood of the moment is fantastic well captured. And how clear the air has been in the moment of capture. A truly masterful cityscape.
Thank you so much Fountain for your kind words, it was a beautiful evening, if you don’t mind the snow and freezing cold!
Utterly brilliant!
You are most kind, thank you Richard!
The snow looks nice and crunchy. How lucky to have a season.
Others might not feel so lucky having to put up with winter but I know what you mean, thank you Gerard!
stay warm and safe!
And you, thank you Inge!
I can hear the silence, or rather din muffled to a whisper, brought on by snow! And life goes on.
So quiet in the snow Annie!
Great photo Patti…….love those Diners. Hope you do well in the Big Snow Storm happening now.
Well, we all know now what happened with the Big Storm . . . . thank you Burgess and yes, those diners are good!
Wonderful shot, Patti.

The texture of that crunchy snow and the light-terrific!
A little neon and some street light go a long way. Thank you Elena!
Love EVERYTHING about this capture Patti. Great composition. Love it in black and white.
You are very kind, thank you so much dear Margie!
would be good on a living room wall, large sized; my daughter has a similar one bought at IKEA
You mean all I had to do was go to IKEA for this instead of traipsing around in the cold . . . . 😦 ?
Thank you Frizz!
Gorgeous tones, Patti.
Thank you Cath, so lovely to hear from you!
Perfection … !!! I must open my eyes and get outside of the box. : )
Thank you Issy, does this mean you might be willing to visit NYC in the depths of winter?
I really like this photo, the light, the few people around, the man cross in the road, and that breakfast corner, all makes a great photo here. You really have a goos eye!

We’ve finally gotten those snow storms, and now the penetrating cold. Bring back summer! I’m long time ready for it.
Remarkable clarity in this shot, Patti.
Brilliant. Like Edward Hopper in B&W.
