That time of year, even if I did take this shot last winter it doesn't feel that long ago what with freezing temperatures
and snow falls here in NYC this week.
That blanket sounds so good Joe! Normally the heating is so high and we can’t do anything to get it down but here sea are, all rugged up. Keep warm and enjoy your Sunday evening!
Fabulous night shot, lovely snowy atmosphere. Love that black/red umbrella and the wild woman in that Dancemom’s poster! Freezing here in Boston too…snow and ice forecast for tomorrow 😦 Stay warm!
Thank you Zita with the sand between your toes from recent days in the sun and surf! 25F and sunny, bright blue sky, here today with a special warning about black ice later in the afternoon!!
Wonderful shot, Patti! Love all the reds (and have just discovered that Jean Michel Basquiat paintings with red in them are more valuable than those without – my artworld fact of the day!)
Good fun narrative Patti. The woman has been stopped in her tracks by that phone I think. And the snow! Looks lots more exciting than it feels I suppose.
Thank you Cath, so pleased you enjoyed the scene! It takes much more snow here to cause chaos than it does back in the UK which means it stays more exciting, to me at least, for longer!
I love this shot Patti but now I just had to throw a blanket on myself on the couch because I’m cold, LOL 😀

such a cool click. in fact downright chilly. looking forward to my afternoon latte sooon!
very atmospheric – including the billboard, and that phone off the hook….
Thank you Kris, she is one scary “mom.” Keep warm where you are!
No wonder the phone is off the hook. I would have bolted too. Great shot Patti. Here have some of my Rhubarb crumble with couscous.
I think she might need one of mother’s little helpers but that rhubarb crumble couscous does sound good!
😀 😀
Fabulous shot!
Thank you so much Pauline, Happy New Year to you!
Those reds – it’s the perfect card.
Funny you should say this because I meant to use it as a card but then forgot all about it, and the cards . . . 😦
Thank you Pierr! 🙂

That poor wild woman, but as they say, you pick your battles! Thank you so much Susan and warm wishes to you in Boston!
There is just something fabulous about this shot, Patti. The light, the color…the feeling of cold it evokes.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Just in case we ever forget . . .. . Thank you Angeline!
What a fantastic shot! Brilliant!
Thank you ever so much Elena!
So much colour amid the cold a gloom!
The gloom can be so much fun at times, thank you MBL!
Beautiful images with such brilliant shot!
You are very kind, thank you so much mihrank!
I heard it was bad again this year. Hope you are surviving the chill! Love the detail in this photograph.
Thank you Zita with the sand between your toes from recent days in the sun and surf! 25F and sunny, bright blue sky, here today with a special warning about black ice later in the afternoon!!
Hahaha. Everyone is too cold to express anything, so the billboard lady is doing it for them.
Billboard lady is doing a might fine job! Wish I could say I never looked like this . . . . 😦
What a great shot Patti……love it!
Thank you Burgess, how much do you miss the NYC winters? 🙂
looks so cool 🙂
You said it Joshi! 🙂
Great shot, Patti… the phone, the shouting lady, the broken glass…
It can all get a little too much for some can’t it. . . . Thank you Geert!
Wonderful shot, Patti! Love all the reds (and have just discovered that Jean Michel Basquiat paintings with red in them are more valuable than those without – my artworld fact of the day!)
That’s interesting to know, thank you Richard – now I want to know why??
Wow, that is a lot of winter. And a really good photo Patti!
Thank you Bente, I think you win when it comes to lots of winter! 🙂

It’s nice to see snow even if it’s a little bit. I suppose walking in it doesn’t make it seem that little. Nice memories …!!!! Thanks 😊
My pleasure, thank you Issy, I know how much you miss the snow!
Gorgeous photo…I love how you captured the snowy environment and the red umbrella!
Thank you so much Valerie! Love your wonderful collection of ruins!
Great composition! Right down to the black and red color coordination. Downright chilling!
I would prefer to watch the winter in the MOMA / Museum Of Modern Art…

I like that dangling payphone element. It does look like that Dance Mom dropped it, and her panic caught the attention of the passerby.
🙂 🙂 top!
Fantastic juxtaposition.
Excellent job , Patti! Love this one.
Oh that silent scream !! Great shot Patti 🙂
It seems that she is shouting at the weather 😉
Dance moms – yep, I want to scream too.
