The cutting edge of fashion as seen at the recent New York Fashion Week.
The fashion from these shows is always a little out there. This may even be way out there. You will forgive me if you have already purchased this outfit, Patti.
The street is perhaps the best runway in town where it is indeed all out there! As for me buying anything, it’s usually along the lines of “another black top . . .” 🙂
Glad you didn’t get cut by the edges! Very cool. Original style and you shared it with us via your photography. Thanks Patti
I should ask more questions – the popular one is always “Who are you wearing?” but somehow I never get around to it, plus I don’t enjoy taking photos of people talking. A true original and a pleasure to share, thank you Ruth!
Great fashion. Reminded me of a movie where a man carries a ‘Falcon’. Perhaps the movie was called ‘The Falcon has landed’. Anyway, great shot and brave girl. I wish men would dress a bit more outrageously. I can just imagine the metallic embrace. The bristling magnetism of it all.
Do not fear Gerard, I do have some shots of fashionable men to inspire you and further enhance your very own magnetism!
Very COOL! Wonder what it’s like on crowded subway…heh, heh…love the shots and angles, Patti!
Thank you Christine, I was wondering about the subway, taxi or whatever but we need to preserve the mystique!
I take it that the designer or model have intimacy issues.
Perhaps Tom but I wouldn’t be brave enough to speculate . . .
Thank you MBL!
Perfect for clearing a crowd! Watch them clear next time I run through a crowd/queue with that on. 🙂
Designers like to be exotic sometimes, don’t they?
Putting together those exotic designs is something else again. Can’t wait to see you outfitted and clearing the crowd!
Heavy! Good photo’s.
Thank you Harrie!
I can’t help but wonder what the model must have felt like wearing it…….bold, strong, fierce, commanding. Very cool indeed! X
Yes, you are right about the strength and boldness, she appeared to wear it with a stylish sense of ease!
Wow, I’m only thinking if my wife should wear something like this to go out how should I wear?
PS: excellent photo
Thank you Robert but men have been wearing their own suits of armour forever! 🙂
But how is the reception of a cell-phone?
Great post title! Margie
Thank you Margie, one of the few times with more than a few possibilities for titles!
Beware! She might be an enhanced and redesigned ladies’ version of Robocop.
Imagine the two of them together!
for sure you are in the most creative city of the world, be lucky!
You mean this doesn’t happen elsewhere? We take so much for granted . . . hope you get to come back soon Frizz!
Very GoT! Or Hunger Games, or something. Anyway, I Love it!
The games fashion play!
Sail on siver bird!
I see knife, fork and spoon ends and measuring cups. I’d love to know how the designer/artist/couturist was able to attach all of this together without betraying exactly how visually. I suspect that the cutlery are not actually metal but plastic dollar store economy packs. I’m sure that they would keep the physical weight of the creation reasonable for wearing. Seeing that their mounted on a spring jacket is a bit of a givaway that the design might actually be unfinished but it’s very impresively done as it is. I can just imagine of bristling and spectacular it would be fully covered.
Who is this designer?
Patti, excellent choice in showing these in contrasting B/W. It makes the reflectiveness, smooth surfaces and chines really stand out.
Thank you so much Allan. She did sail very quietly through the space and, as much as I wanted to touch and feel, I knew I never would transgress that boundary which in itself is a strange sensation along with the silence that forgets to ask certain questions i.e. who is the designer 😦
I’ve heard of people stealing the silverware from restaurants, but that’s just ridiculous.
Hehe, cutlery jacket. Perfect for take-out!
Wow! I hope this look catches on. Great shots, Patti!
I wish you best with your hopes Richard!
Wow, that is an amazing jacket. I would be afraid of stabbing someone. Excellent images Patti, love the details, perspective and processed perfectly in bw!
that is super awesome 🙂
Well that’s certainly different and made for B&W!
Wow, a great capture!
Fantastic! yet another reason I LOVE this town…
Amazing outfit and well-performed photographs!
Getting through a door way would be tough with this? Certainly some interesting fashion out there but we all have a different eye.
He he, static will never be an issue! But airports could be a problem. I kind of like the clutch! 😀
Love your play on words and the photos. Black and white brings out the sheen of the metal. All told though, the jacket’s more for shock value than actual wear….right?
Amazing dress – though I think I wouldn’t want to wear it 🙂

Amazing! I was shocked when I took a closer look and saw that it is mostly made out of cutlery!
Thank you so much Bytegirl!!
Wow! How crazy is that!
I really love your first shot, Patti! Great one!
It was a track stopper that’s for sure, thank you Anette!
First reaction Oh m g , second reaction terrific photographs , third reaction what an amazing piece of art and fashion. Hope you are well Patti and you have a great end to the week. Best regards , james
James, I am so behind with comments but always so good to hear from you, thank you! With so many best wishes to you!!!
Had to be Fashion Week. Great shots!
Yes Lyn, Fashion Week for sure but, to tell you truth, I much prefer the more random “in the wild” sighting of fashion’s feathers and plumage.
Lord, how much does that weigh!! LOL! How are ya, Patti??
Hey there Derrick, thought you would like this! Hope you are keeping happy with your gorgeous Texas Blues!
of course!! 🙂
Like heavy wings. Fantastic!
And she moved so lightly with it all. Thank you Karen!
It looks heavy, but daring and different. 🙂
Not a coat to throw down in a huff!
And you should not go near magnetic field either.
Dazzling New York! Paris is buried down, down below! 😦
Outstanding images Patti 🙂
