Swing Your Partner
At Byrant Park this week a summer blow-out to a blur of bright-lights, music and . . . Square Dancing! Difficult to escape the bright lights and colour but you wouldn't have been there if it is was a quiet night you were after although there were dark corners in which to sit back and enjoy the exuberance of others. The smell of that freshly cut grass in the city? Priceless!

I wanted to go the Friday night of the week before but a certain some-one wasn’t too keen so I made sure to go this time which was the last one of the summer! Which all worked out fine anyway because on my own I get to take as many photos as I want without holding anyone up!

OMG …. you must swear to secrecy. My hubby and I took square dancing way back when. Too many years to remember. I have to admit it was fun. In a 3 hour session – yes, 3 hours of dancin’ with 5 minute breaks – we would walk 5 miles. It was a great way to lose weight and stay in shape. YES … I wore those short skirts with the fluffy under things. I was cute and adorable then. hahaha
