Soho Seconds

Waiting on a street corner down in Soho for the lights to change. Sandwiched between two sets of colourful young women with the young man in black waiting with hands full on the other side. What felt like all the time in the world, just waiting on the spot, was in reality just a few licks less than 30 secs. * * * * *
Nice catch!
Thank you so much Tex!
And you not missing a moment!
Soho is rich in moments!
like that urban cowboy with that metrocard hanging off his neck – eating on the run – ❤ it !!
That metro card, never leave home without it! But where did I put it again . . . .?
Excellent street scenes.
Thank you Rabirius, it was one of those days!
Patti, love your work. Ever think of a coffee table book?
Tom, you are so kind and I shall put my thinking cap on about the coffee table book but don’t hold your breath!
Thanks for this moment in Soho Patti!
My pleasure, thank you Philippa! Have you settled back after your wonderful painting tour?
Still roaming, Patti! A couple of important stops to make yet. Brushes at the ready.
Everyday life. So interesting when we take the time to notice. Nice shots.
Thank you Lignum. Everyday life here in NYC seems to have a habit of bursting through the fog leaving little choice but to take notice!
I wonder where the cowboy is going in New York?
Maybe he has just arrived! He’s not the first and I’m sure he won’t be the last . . . . the next one I see, I shall ask!
The second shot is fantastic
🙂
Thank you HG, I could hear them laughing behind my back (!) . . . .
in which you had the whole world around you…
It never stops!
So familar………spent so much time in the area…….
You captured “it”………..thanks for the revisit Patti
It’s a city which gets into the bloodstream isn’t it . . .
Sure is……..once expanded to New York you can never go back!~!!!
That’s all it takes, a second, to find some great street photos! I love the two girls different reactions to you taking a photo of them…one all cute, and the other kind of goofy.
Thank you Angeline! I dread being told to eff off by someone so the smiles are always a bonus!
I heart NY (even though I’ve never been)! Great shots, Patti!
I keep telling you Richard, you have to visit!!!
Don’t they empty the trashbuckets?
The good people in The New York Sanitation Department do a fine job of trying to keep up with the trash removal!
Then its okay I guess.
Wow, what you can capture in 30 seconds! The pulse of the city.
It was only when looking through the data I realised just how close in time they were, after that I found it impossible to separate them! Thank you Elena!
It is always interesting to see your shots, the colors and sharpness of the pictures make me feel like I’m there.
Always breathes a special art on your blog.
Carlos
Thank you Carlos, the colour in the city refuses to be subdued!
I should check out H&M collection 🙂 I enjoyed this stroll with you Patti 🙂
Thank you Paula, strolling by yours as soon as computer is repaired :(. Enjoy H&M!
Sorry to hear about your computer problems Patti.
I love the girls…they embody the expressiveness that NY is full of, and that I do miss…but the trash cans, well, I don’t miss full trash bins everywhere, if you can even find one. Great work Patti!
Lyn, will those girls ever truly know how beautiful they are?
As for those full trash cans, I am sort of OK with them but only as long as I never see a rat anywhere near them . . . .
You see more in just 30 seconds, Patti…
It’s a wonderful thing for the rest of us that you are able to capture it all so quickly, too!
🙂
Really SiG, it felt more like 30 minutes . . . . thank you for your very kind words!
Can’t wait to hear all about your “wedding” week-end!!!
I adore the photo of laughter and happiness! You captured bliss!
Thank you Annie! For some reason, the girls reminded me of that song –
Single girl, oh single girl
She goes to the store and buys
Oh goes to the store and buys
Married girl, oh, married girl
She rocks the cradle and cries
Oh, rocks the cradle and cries
You really capture “street life” so well. Your photos are a standout in the blogosphere. 🙂
Ruth, if only you knew how much I would love to be one of your lucky students!
The guitar guy, has to Duane ..
Teenage Duane???
Duane Eddy, guitar player, about 1959
three more splendid portraits…keep up the great work in there, Patti.
Thank you so much John, I really do value your encouragement!
Absolutely great street shots!
It’s the great streets of New York! Thank you Mark!
probably I would ask the guitarist, where he’ll play in the evening …
Maybe he was playing up at the Square Dance in Bryant Park later that night!

I love the candid of the girls.
That’s one spectacular smile in “Oh Yeah!” – great capture 🙂
Looks like the rhinestone cowboy lost his rhinestones and his way. Go west young man go west. ~~~~~ : – )
Love those huge smile in the second pix. I think her nails are weapons. hahaha
