Patti, glad you chose here to live, you see things that those of us who were born here miss. You rock a camera.
Thank you Tom! So much happens here in the city it is still easy enough to miss something!
The singer pic is fantastic !!!
Great job Patti.
Thank you HG – I thought of posting that shot on its own but then I saw the other shots and thought . . . why not! She has a great voice!
for sure great gospel music – and your photo gallery: superb! my favorite pic: #3 green dressed singer vs. fashion girl on the wall. BUT let us THINK: Evolution is a hoax??? Good education in USA seems to be a hoax. What do you think, half British, half US: the British parliament said NO to military intervention in Syria. And the USA? Question of education how to decide? Germany says no, French president says yes – let’s escape to music:
Thank you Frizz for the fabulous link! It was strange walking through the subway, seeing all these signs in isolation then finding Arlethia at the end of the trail.
As for Syria . . . . what a mess! Considering how Bush and Blair strong armed their way into a war in Iraq on the most tenuous grounds yet I’m not sure what purpose missile strikes will achieve when there are sure to be more innocent civilian casualties while the perpetrators continue causing mayhem. Plus, apart from Assad, there are so many other rebel groups involved.
Fascinating work, Patti! As always!
My grateful thanks to you SiG!
Wonderful series. She’s singing in the subway? Her voice would’ve carried a mile I suspect.
Yes, she is belting it out in fine style in the subway! Thank you Lignum!
Hat dies auf Aylin's Wonderland rebloggt.
If only you could have captured her voice. Loving your gallery Patti 🙂 Are you having fun?
She has a great voice which other people have managed to capture on youtube! Thank you Paula and yes, to having fun – hope you are as well!!
Great little series. That is New York in essence isn’t it?! Gospel singing in the subway. Fantastic!
The very nature of any subway is one of passing through but I am always surprised at how easy it is to linger down there although the Chinese string version of Ave Maria is always enough for me to pick up my pace and head for the exit! Thank you so much Otto!
My grateful thanks to you Elena!
You are in street photographer heaven. Through your photos I see a show going on every minute.
Thank you Annie! Wait till I show you the husband and wife boxing duo!
very clever – excellent series!
Thank you! Strange isn’t it how “series” somehow present themselves when looking through sets of shots . . . particularly when the intention was to do something rather different.
Great sequence, Patti! I love the absolute passion you captured (slowly fading into the background).
Arlethia wasn’t in the subway, she was in Paradise! Thank you Richard!
that is cool 🙂
She is, they are! Thank you Joshi!
You know just how to capture unique moments in life!
Those unique moments are all around us! Thank you!
What a voice indeed!!! And their expressions….priceless! Fabulous series Patti.
Thank you Madhu! It was a lovely feeling following her voice through the subway.
Real New York scenes!
They just won’t go away!!!
Patti, this is a great insight into daily life. I in particularly like the third images as it almost seems as thought the girl in the advert has turned around to see who is singing. I hope you have a great weekend.
Certainly a voice difficult to ignore. Thank you James and so sorry to be getting back to you so late (computer probs!) and wishing you a good week ahead!
I can easily spend a day in this station just watching and listening to the array of talent and characters that frequent the place – nice series Patti..
You meet some of the nicest people down there! 🙂
Thank you so much Vincent!
Great sequence Patti – dying to hear her voice but it wont let me play her on her site!
Ah, just found her on YouTube – wow, what a voice! It’d be hard to catch a train and not just stay there to listen..!
So pleased your persistence was rewarded Cath!
Patti please! Where’s the sound???!!!???!!!
Oh sorry – I found it, merci Frizztext!
You Tube can be such a pesky little nuisance at times!
I don’t believe in any gods, nor do I believe that Jesus of Nazareth was a prophet or the son of any metaphysical creature, but in theory I agree that if you do believe the stuff, you should follow the bible and not worship other gods or humans.
