Thank you so much Ruth. We are here in Colorado where I took this shot only a few days ago. One of our son’s lives and works here and we enjoy spending as much family time as possible out here with him and his brothers. It has been eerily quiet, life going on with a lump in the throat. How to make sense of such random, incomprehensible actions? Here, there or anywhere?
The first time I heard the news, it shocked me. Such a senseless , cruel tragedy. No one has the right to take someone’s life. A dark cloud did gloom and for how long, we don’t really know. It would take a lot of healing to overcome such a horrible. My thoughts and prayers to the victims and their family.

dear Pat,
I’ve heard the risk to get killed in the USA is 40 times higher than in Europe! Very different to the gun laws than in U.K., isn’t it?
Frizz, what to say? I can’t keep track of gun laws and statistics anywhere. Nor do I feel anymore at risk here in the US after living in London with bombs and threats from the IRA and Islamic terrorists. I will never understand the madness that pursues freedom in the massacre of others . . .
Everytime I go and and look at this image, I say to myself, “Wow! Just amazing!” A mixture of beaty and fear as to what the clouds would bring or what it meant. Have a great day!
Thanks for thinking of us on this sad day.
Anna, I honestly don’t know what to say about this senseless tragedy . . .
Yes, what a thoughtful image and nod to the people of Colorado.

Big sky for pondering on the senseless.
If only the answer were blowing in the wind . . .
