Greetings from under the heavy dark clouds of this English summer. No heatwave here!
Happy 4th July to those waving the red, white and blue. Keep cool wherever you are!

I fell in love with that place. It is very beautiful, also in the sky can always find dreamy colors. Thank you for showing and sharing.
Now you’re in England.?
Adiós
Carlos
Hello Carlos! Yes, I am in England where the sky has been full of dramatic clouds and colour, all of which feel so close. Do hope you get to visit again, do you have a favourite part of the country?
Hi, makes me happy that you are for your lands again. I always was related to the Rugby, because of it I have special attention to your country, he is more I I belonged to an equipment of the first league in Buenos Aires. Lamentably I was not lucky to visit to your country. If he travels several times to other Europa’s parts. And you? Here there are many families and English schools… Thank you for your attention you are very nice ¡
Adiós Pat
Carlos
One day I hope to explore your fabulous part of the world and maybe one day you will make it to the UK. Never say never!
Thank you so much for your very kind words Carlos and
Adios to you!

That very neatly sums it up for here although we have just had TWO days in a ROW without rain but we know it’s out there, not too far away and lurking in the wind . . .
Stunning, Ms. K! All of your images! But I am particularly fond of your first piece as well… outstanding!
So cool, in fact, the temperature just became somewhat bearable in here as soon as your page finished loading! Nice work – and thank you! 🙂
Thank you! So different to the scorcher where you are SiG . . . . is your AC holding up? Hope relief comes your way soon, without it being too dramatic!
Ok – So you’re in England… I wondered where all that rain had come from! 😉 Bracken and Foxgloves – very much a part of the early summer in the English countryside. Nice evocative shots Patti 🙂
Martin, I hope you’re not suggesting I brought all that rain with me – I travel light at the best of times! The foxgloves and bracken are thriving so much they are knocking on the windows! Hope all well in your garden!
Beautiful capture with the clouds. I no longer live in England and I really do not miss the Englih “summer”. I was back there recently and it rained literally almost every day!
Still raining here . . . . but when the sun does shine the summer can be glorious when it gets to a giddy 27C! So pleased you enjoyed the clouds – from a distance!
raining cats and dogs in England? a chance to make order in the mountain of photos you’ve shot in the USA; I hope you can relax now – not tired after analyzing the US reality?
Rain still falling . . . As for making order out of that mountain I feel stuck down here on base camp, a little too relaxed. Thank you for the nudge Frizz!
Beautiful!
Thank you and I hope you are enjoying some sunshine where you are!
No chance. But I will enjoy watching Wimbledon.
The stress!!!
Tell me about it. I keep tuning in at the wrong moments. I will pray for success tomorrow though!

…and they are not predicting any real good weather until July.
July next year?
It’s pretty much the same here: rainy & windy one day. Cloudy & cold the next. Some sunbeams here and there, but nothing serious.
That very neatly sums it up for here although we have just had TWO days in a ROW without rain but we know it’s out there, not too far away and lurking in the wind . . .
Happy Fourth. Great pictures, sitting in ninety degree heat watching baseball and waiting for fireworks and illuminations.
Thank you Tom and hope it was a good day for you (sounds good from here!). Which teams were playing?
pretty impressive pictures, I do like your header picture… 😉
Can’t have a green and pleasant land without the rain! Thanks Gerry!
Thatched roof, shingles and heavy cloud … England all right.
All under the glorious umbrella of summer in the UK!
I particularly love the first photo – the tiled rooftops and chimneys. Lovely composition.
Thank you GCE! I popped the other two in as a means of putting some “flowers in a jar” – not all dark clouds!

Wow, thank you for this Arindam!!!

I daren’t step into my garden… Ever watched Little Shop of Horrors?… That’s my garden 😉

It’s like being in a magical secret place where everything is beautiful. A Summer I wish to be…
. . . with fairies dancing at the bottom of the garden!
There’ll always be an England.
And an English summer —
I hope you’re planning to come back to us, however, at some point!
Judith, the jury seems to be out for the moment on the English summer! Back now in the US and I dare not complain about the heat!
