Somewhere, in every woman, there is a little girl,
jumping for joy without a care in the world . . .
. . . Celebrate, L’Chaim!
Lovely photo Patti 🙂
Thank you Gilly, love your Christmas elves!
Such joy, exuberance, freedom —
What are the circumstances of the photo, Patti? (Love how sharp the mom is dressed)
Joy, exuberance and freedom – what a package, thank you! I took this photo after the parade on lower Broadway celebrating the NY Giants winning the Super Bowl (against the NE Pats!) The little girl threw a snowball of paper into the air and jumped after it. I was so taken with her innocent exuberance which reminded me that I once possessed so much of the same. We all did! I let the mother know that I took the photo, she gave me her email and they do have a copy!
Thank you Amar!
Great shot! I was there at that celebration as well but packed among the horde of people there!
It was such a wonderful day wasn’t it! I do have so many other photos of the day so perhaps you might be in there somewhere but lovely seeing you here. Thank you!
The story is as pleasing as the photo!
Thanks, Patti —
Great picture of celebration Patti I love your work 🙂
Jake, I love that you love my work – you know how much I love yours! Thank you so much!

Thanks Margie! BTW, love your handle on the late blooming buds!
Fun filled shot 🙂
Thank you WB – I usually manage to miss these moments!
What a happy and fun capture!
And to think I have the NYGiants to thank for it! Great to see you here Gracie, thank you!
what a wonderful capture.
i think, too, that it is not age which prevents us from continuing to recognize seasons where we cannot help but express exuberance and celebrate the moment, and this is applies to men as well. it is all a matter of mindset. never mind just seizing the day – seize the moment! life is a celebration. thank you for sharing.
You are so right about it being a matter of mindset, boys and girls, men and women, and I love that your friend Jeannie has it in spades!
yep – that sure is just about perfect
and it wasn’t that long ago . . . was it? Keep jumping!!
Love the photo and the words that flowed beautifully with it. This is one photo that celebrates the child in all of us, of the hopes and dreams we long for, of the inner joys that makes us smile, of being around families that love us no matter what. Happy Holidays. May you all be blessed with love , happiness , peace and good health.
and to think that as children we were so keen to “grow up” and become adults! Keep smiling, inside and outside, and all best wishes to you and your family for the festive season and beyond!
I love that thought and believe it is true! We need to keep that little girl in us alive and happy. Great picture!!
Keeping that little girl within us alive and well benefits everyone, don’t you think? And while she is jumping for joy on the inside I also like the idea of putting my feet up a la sweet sunday under any oaks! So glad you enjoyed, thank you!

She jumped for all of of us that day! Thank you John for commenting!
The photo captures the joy of the kid in us all …
and we know it’s in there, somewhere . . . meanwhile desperately keeping any arrested development at bay!
Excellent capture 🙂 Thank you for sharing it with us 🙂
