Stuck for Words . . .
. . . when there is so much to say. Tis the night before the mid-term US Election and the usual heads are talking but I am not sure who is listening let alone who will bother voting. Through all of this it is expected that the Democratic majority will have been drastically reduced. So what, who cares? Be warned, however, and be afraid. There are some very serious fruitcakes out there poised to pounce –Meg Whitman, Linda McMahon, Sharron Angle and Christine O’Donnell to name a few. Mother Hen, or Mamma Grizzly as Sarah Palin prefers to be known, is cackling down the airwaves all the way from Alaska. Suddenly Alaska does not seem so far away. Speaking of Sharron Angle, what has Harry Reid done that was so bad that, as Senate Majority leader he is trailing percentage points behind Sharron Angle who is famous for not liking immigrants. Apparently she is talking to the voters in Nevada – where Karl Rove was raised. Those whose first and only language is English are hearing her loud and clear. Meanwhile here in New York we have Carl Paladino . . .
Moving on and all the way to Texas where the San Francisco Giants are playing the 4th Round against the Texas Rangers in the World Series! Last night in Texas saw not just one but two George Bush’s, co-incidentally both former Presidents, out on the pitch as special guests, the younger to throw the opening pitch. Which he did, and, to be fair, he did a good job of it. Pays to stick with what you love. George Herbert was looking decidedly rickety . . .
The Giants are now 3-1 up, doing way better than the Democrats, and this week we wait to see who comes out on top, Barack O’Bama or Buster Posey? Let’s go Giants!
Who knew, that with elections (more to come later on George Davis for District 6 Supervisor in San Fran . . .) and the World Series that life this week could be so exciting? But, like a Dunkin Donut, which America runs on, that’s what makes America great!
